It is both an honor and a privilege to recognize two outstanding student-athletes who have exemplified excellence, dedication, and leadership in multiple sports throughout their high school careers. The Carolina Forest High School Senior Athletes of the Year award celebrates individuals who not only compete at the highest level but also make a lasting impact on their teams and school community.
Danyri Legette has been a two-sport varsity athlete, excelling in both basketball and track & field. On the basketball court, she played a pivotal role on both offense and defense, helping lead the Lady Panthers to a Region Championship. Her hard work and defensive tenacity earned her a spot on the All-Region team, and she was named Region VI Defensive Player of the Year.
On the track, Danyri was just as impressive. She contributed to the success of the Girls Track & Field team, helping them to a strong season finish. She was a member of the 4x100 relay team that placed 7th at the State Championships and individually placed 8th in the long jump. Danyri’s quiet leadership, tireless work ethic, and determination have set a high standard for her teammates.

Brody Bailey has been a four-year varsity wrestler and a two-year varsity football player. As a defensive back, Brody was instrumental in helping Carolina Forest secure back-to-back region football championships.
On the wrestling mat, Brody’s career has been nothing short of exceptional. He is a four-time state placer, All-State Wrestler, two-time State Finalist, North/South All-Star, four-time All-Region selection, two-time Lower State Champion, and was named 2025 Region VI Wrestler of the Year.
Crowning his individual achievements, Brody was a key contributor in bringing home Carolina Forest’s first-ever Wrestling Team State Championship—a historic accomplishment for the program.
