Carolina Forest Boys and Girls Swim Teams Finish as Region 6 Runners-Up
The Carolina Forest Panthers swim teams capped off an incredible regular season with both the Boys and Girls Varsity Swim Teams earning runner-up finishes at the highly competitive 5A Region 6 Championship Meet.
The outstanding regional performances capped seasons filled with wins, championships, school records, personal bests, and countless examples of team effort. The girls finished the regular season with an impressive 66–3 record, while the boys closed out their season at 64–5.
Girls Make Their Mark at Regionals -
The Carolina Forest Girls Swim Team continued its dominant season with a second-place finish at Regionals. One of the biggest highlights came in the 200 Freestyle Relay, where Macie Mosley, Hailey Scaturro, Gabi Suarez, and Olivia Capuzzi raced to a Regional Championship. The relay finished the regular season undefeated, proving to be one of the Panthers' strongest events all season.
Macie Mosley also completed an impressive individual sweep, capturing 1st place in both the 200 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle to become a two-time individual Regional Champion.
Olivia Capuzzi added another Regional Championship for the Panthers with a 1st-place finish in the 500 Freestyle, one of the most demanding events of the meet.

200 Medley Relay – 3rd Place: Lillie Herlevi, Carly Silva, Mea Aycock & Hailey Lacasse
Olivia Capuzzi – 3rd Place: 50 Freestyle
Gabi Suarez – 3rd Place: 100 Breaststroke
400 Freestyle Relay – 3rd Place: Macie Mosley, Hailey Scaturro, Gabi Suarez & Olivia Capuzzi
With 66 wins, just three losses, multiple Regional Champions, and an undefeated 200 Freestyle Relay, the girls' season has been a remarkable display of consistency and teamwork.
Boys Continue a Record-Breaking Season-
The Carolina Forest Boys Swim Team matched the girls' runner-up finish at Regionals after putting together an outstanding 64–5 regular season.
The boys' success at Regionals was highlighted by two new school records and multiple Regional Championships.
Kevin Black Jr. delivered a record-breaking performance in the 500 Freestyle, capturing the Regional Championship with a time of 4:52.00 and breaking the Carolina Forest school record that had stood since 2020.
The record-breaking continued in the 400 Freestyle Relay, where Daniel Marcos, Ryan Markham, Youssef Zaki, and Kevin Black Jr. combined for a time of 3:29.20, setting another new Carolina Forest school record.
Black Jr. also completed an individual sweep, winning 1st place in the 200 Freestyle to become a two-time Regional Champion.
Daniel Marcos added another Regional Championship for the Panthers with a 1st-place finish in the 200 Individual Medley, showcasing his ability across all four competitive strokes.

A Season Built on Teamwork
While individual championships, records, and podium finishes stand out, the success of both Carolina Forest teams was built on something bigger: the entire team.
Every swimmer played a role throughout the season — whether scoring valuable points, achieving a personal-best time, stepping up in a relay, pushing teammates during practice, or simply showing up ready to compete.
Together, the Panthers' boys and girls teams combined for an incredible 130 wins and only eight losses during the regular season, while both teams earned runner-up finishes at the 5A Region 6 Championship Meet.
Congratulations to every member of the Carolina Forest Boys and Girls Swim Teams on an unforgettable regular season. With Regional Championships, school records, relay victories, and outstanding team performances behind them, the Panthers now turn their attention to the next challenge.
