The girls golf team had a strong year this season finishing 4-1 in the 9 hole region matches. The girls were led by Senior Savannah Sansom with a scoring average of 39.5. The Lady Panthers had a strong showing at a tough Region Tournament taking 3rd with score of 308. Minea Kosonen(76) and Savannah Sansom (75) made the All Region Team. The Lady Panthers used the momentum from the Region Tournament and took 2nd Place at Lower States, led by Savannah Sansom and Lexi Wohlers who both shot 78. At the State Tournament the Lady Panthers were in 2nd place a few shots behind the lead after day one. Day 2 was a tight race with the top teams, and team took 4th place with a score of 669. The girls were led by Savannah Sansom (157) and freshman Claudia Mediate(159). Both girls made the All State Team.
It was a very successful year for the Girls Golf team and we can't wait until next year to see them make a run at States. Thank you to our seniors Savannah Sansom and Madison Marion.
