The boys' swim team finished third at the Panther Invitational this past Saturday. In what was their first look at the new region alignment, the Panthers were able to see where they stacked up early in the season. Kyran Vitharana and Jordan Henderson led the team in individual scoring with nine points each. Vitharana had the team's only first-place finish (50 Free) and added a fifth-place finish in the 100 Back. Henderson scored his points in the 100 Free (2nd) and 200 IM (3rd). Daniel Marcos was right on their heals with eight points on the day (2nd - 100 Breaststroke, 4th - 100 Back).

Also scoring individually for the Panthers were: Nick Kowalczyk (3rd - 100 Breaststroke), Luis Reyes Flores (4th - 500 Free), Kincade Youngerman (5th - 50 Free, 6th - 100 Free), Ryan Markham (6th - 200 Free, 6th - 500 Free), and Jayson Beavers (5th - 200 Free). Vitharana, Henderson, Kowalczyk, Marcos, Reyes Flores, Youngerman, and Beavers combined to form the A Relays for the day. All three relays finished in the top three and contributed points to the team.

The Panthers return to the pool this Saturday in the Sharks at the Beach Invitational hosted by St. James High School at Pepper Geddings.
