Carolina Forest High School is excited to announce Joe Goodwin a.k.a Coach Goody as the New Head Boys Varsity Volleyball Coach. Coach Goody has taught physical education in Horry County for over 25 years. Most recently, at Ocean Bay Middle where he has been teaching for the past 16 years. He began coaching volleyball in 2010 with Grand Strand Juniors and later started Grand Strand Sand Beach Volleyball Club, training junior players and running tournaments for more than a decade. Coach Goody helped lead the charge to get Men’s Volleyball in SC and specifically in Horry County. In Spring of 2022 he was the Head JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach at Carolina Forest with Connor Cooper for the Inaugural Boys Volleyball Season. Together they led Carolina Forest to the first ever Final Four Men’s Volleyball Playoff.

We will hold an interest meeting for those interested in summer workouts and tryouts for high school students on Wednesday June 4 CFHS 3:30pm in the main gym.

We are working on a time to meet middle school students at their schools and will send out that information soon.
