In honor of Autism Awareness and the importance of inclusion, we are excited to invite students
from our moderate to severe program to participate in our varsity sporting events on Wednesday, April 2nd. This is a wonderful opportunity for our special needs students to be actively involved and to demonstrate their talents. Students will have the chance to throw the
first pitch during our softball and baseball games and participate in a 50-meter dash at the track meet. Below is a timeline of events outlining the activities planned for this meaningful celebration. We are looking forward to making this event memorable for our special needs
students and our CF community.
Track
- Meet starts at 5 pm
- 50 Meter Dash with special needs students @5:35 after 110 Hurdles
- Before the event, the announcer will announce student names and the reason for the event
Softball
- Game starts at 6 pm
- General team announcements and anthem will be completed
- Both teams on the field, two CF seniors will walk out Special Needs Student and he/she
will throw out the first pitch @5:45
Baseball
- Game starts at 6:15
- General team announcements and anthem will be completed
- Both teams on the field, two CF seniors will walk out Special Needs Student and he/she
will throw out the first pitch @6:05
General Information:
- 50/50 will be sold at all three events. The money raised will be donated to the
mod/severe program at CFHS to support inclusion events. Below is the timeline for each
50/50
- 50/50 (Cheerleaders) @ Track & Field: 4:30-6:30, call winner at 6:45
- 50/50 (Cheerleader) @ Baseball/Softball: 5-7:00 call winner at 7:10
- Any CFHS students wearing blue- get in for free to each event
- Puzzle pieces will be sold at the ticket booth for $2. Donations will be given to the mod/severe
program for inclusion events. People who purchase a puzzle piece will write their name in the
middle and the puzzle piece will be displayed in the school for the month of April to celebrate
