BOY'S GOLF GREAT START TO THE SEASON

The CFHS boys golf team delivered an impressive performance at the Patriot Invitational Golf Tournament, finishing fourth out of 22 teams! The team shot 314 with 8th grader Jackson McCormick leading the way with a 73. Aiden Aguilar carded a 78, Elijah Hawkinberry posted a 79, and Josh Hilario had an 84. The team then traveled to Lake City to compete in the Anderson Brothers Bank Invitational qualifiers. The team won the event with a score of 297. Aiden Aguilar led the way with a 66, Jackson McCormick had a 72 followed by Elijah Hawkinberry's 76 and Josh Hilario had an 84. Their next outing was an 18 hole match at Indigo Creek Golf Club for a four-way match with Myrtle Beach, Socastee, and Conway. The team won the event with the score of 309. McCormick led the way with a 72 followed by Aguilar with a 73 Hawkinberry carded an 82 along with Harris Pournaras's 82. The players showcased their skills and teamwork throughout each day, navigating challenging holes and maintaining composure under pressure. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off, and this strong finish to the season opening week has set a positive tone for the rest of the season.
