The Carolina Forest High School Women’s Basketball Team wraps up regular season play with a record of 23-3 and finished Region play with a perfect record of 10-0 securing the Region 6 5A Title. With only two returning starters from the previous season, the team found an early cohesive balance. The team bought into our defensive mindset and locked into the challenge of stopping every opponent every possession.
The team is led by Miracle McLean, Region 6 5A Player of the Year, who has been a defensive nightmare all year for our opponents while also blossoming into an incredible offensive threat, averaging over 15 points per game. Alongside, McLean, senior Danyri Legette has brought the heat all year defensively and was named the Region 6 5A Defensive Player of the Year. Rounding out the starting lineup are 2025 All-Region players, Madisyn Davis, Meaja Dozier-Edwards, and London DeLong. Our sixth man coming off the bench is freshman Macy Floyd who has been invaluable to the team. Mayissa Dorcely, Tay Walker, Bri McKnight, and Bridgette Mauro have also stepped up with some major contributions.
We look forward to hosting the second round of playoffs this Thursday and are excited for the challenge.
